June	Regiment ships from the Isle of Wight for service in Spain under Peterborough. Cadiz.
2^nd October	Vigo Bay. Returns to England.

	The Queen Dowager's Regiment of Foot
February	Germany and the Low Countries. Regiment serves in the defence of the fortress of Tongres in Flanders. Awarded the title “Royal”, and mottoes “Pristinae Virtutis Memor” and “Vel Exuviae Triumphant.” Many officers and men captured.

	Battle of Almanza.
	Regiment returns to England to re-form.
1709	Prisoners from Spanish War ransomed.

April - June	Regiment shipped to Quebec, Canada. Detachment at Annapolis in the American colonies.
October	Regiment returns to England and remains on home service until 1730.
