Regiment disembarked for service in the West Indies. Remains until 1797.

1st Battalion:
  West Indies.
  New Colours presented.
  2nd Battalion:
  Second battalion raised. Serves in England and in Guernsey.

  Re-capture of St Lucia
Regiment badly reduced by disease in the West Indies

 

1798

Regiment embarks for Ireland; Wolfe Tone’s Fenian rebellion.

 

1799
  The Queen’s (Second) Royal, Regiment of Foot
Regiment embarks for the Helder campaign in the Netherlands.

Regiment serves with Abercrombie’s expedition against Napoleon in Egypt.
