Queen's Regimental Medals

Presented by officers at their own expense to non-commisiond officers and men in the 1830's for meritorious service. The first official campaign medal was issued by the government of India in 1842 to commemorate the capture of the fortress at Ghuznee, Affganistan, 1839.
