| Memorial Window, Lambeth Town Hall |
|
The memory of the officers and men of the 11th Queen's is kept for ever green by this handsome window at the top of the marble staircase in the Lambeth Town Hall, Brixton.
The window was unvailed by the late Sir Charles Gibbs, on March 18th 1922, and perpetuates the memory of 557 officers and men of the Battalion who made the supreme sacrifice. It was dedicated by the then Rector of Lambeth (the Rev. F. O. T. Hawkes). Later Bishop of Kingston.
Every Armistice Day the Mayor of Lambeth places a floral tribute at the foot of the window. |
