On
the amalgamation of the Queen's and The Royal Hampshire Regiment,
the title of the regiment became The Pincess of Wales's Royal
Regiment (Queen's and Royal Hampshires). The two territorial
units became the 5th Bn PWRR and 6/7th Bn PWRR. |

Strategic Defence Review reduced the Territorial Army and
the 5th and 6/7th Bns merged to become 3rd Bn The Princess
