Formed in 1908, the Territorial Force was organised in fourteen divisions as a second line to the Regular Army in the event of war. The Volunteer battalions in our Regiments assumed the following Territorial titles:

The Queen’s Royal Regiment

1^st Volunteer Battalion became 4^th Bn The Queen’s Royal Regiment (TA)
2^nd Volunteer Battalion became 5^th Bn The Queen’s Royal Regiment (TA)
3^rd Volunteer Battalion became 22^nd (County of London) Bn The London Regiment (The Queen’s).
4^th Volunteer Battalion became 24^th (County of London) Bn The London Regiment (The Queen’s).

Formed 1/6^th and 2/6^th Bns for the 1939 - 45 War

7^th (Southwark) Bn formed from 24^th Bn London Regiment (The Queen's)

Formed 1/7^th and 2/7^th Bns for the 1939 - 45 War

Became 622 HAA Regiment RA (Queen's)
