The Regimental Collects

Collects are short formal prayers written for a particular purpose and said during church services. Regimental Collects usually contain a prayer for God's blessing on the members of the Regiment and for the Regiment to do its duty according to His will. The exact form of words varies widely from regiment to regiment, but is always with the approval of the authorities of the Church of England. The Queen's Royal Regiment, The East Surrey Regiment and The Queen's Royal Surrey Regiment each have their own Regimental Collect.
